You hear all the time that you should be working “on your business” rather than “in your business”, but HOW?

What do the larger companies do to keep track of their current results and keep strategically focused on the future?

Your financial numbers tell a story; do you know what yours are saying?  Is it a good story, an OK story that needs some work, or a horror story? With this blog, I hope to give you the basic tools that most mid-size and large companies use to review their current financial story, but also to create the future.  I believe this is the most important aspect of working “on your business” – what does your business’ future look like?

Mid-size and large companies are able to hire accountants, financial analysts, and CFO’s to help determine their company’s current financial situation as well as where it is going.  For a small business owner, the costs of these positions, while important, are usually cost prohibitive.

I started this business in order to help female entrepreneurs like yourself better understand their financial story so that they can fully grow their businesses and, in turn, their lives.  I passionately believe that the better you understand the “story” that your numbers are telling you, the better you are able to understand where you are and how to get to your goals. I’ve seen this my entire career and want to bring this knowledge and expertise to you.

I will give you the same basic tools larger companies use daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to check where their companies are at any given time.  More importantly, if the company is not running as expected, they use these tools as a guide to fix it before it’s too late!  Why shouldn’t your business have the same opportunities?

As a Florida CPA & CGMA (certified global managerial accountant) with over 20 years of accounting and financial reporting experience in various public and privately held contracting companies, I am here to share my expertise to help you better understand your company’s financials and create your vision for your business’ future!

Note: that any information given in this website is intended to give you a general understanding of various financial statements, and are by no means exhaustive.  Please use these tools as guides to help you discuss your particular financial situation with your accountant, CPA, or financial advisor.
